Description
The 74HC04 is a Hex Inverter IC, meaning it contains six independent NOT gates. A NOT gate simply inverts the digital signal fed into it—turning a HIGH input into a LOW output, and vice versa. It is one of the most fundamental building blocks in digital electronics, widely used for signal conditioning, logic level inversion, and creating simple oscillator circuits. It operates on a 2V to 6V power supply and comes in a breadboard-friendly 14-pin DIP package.
